Christmas Day is on the 25th of December, it’s the day we can relax and open our presents. Watch the children get excited over their new toys and enjoy the time with the whole family.
As much as we don’t realize, there has always been a traditional way to Christmas day. As everyone knows, when you have children you wake up early hours I would say around 5 – 6 o’clock in the morning. And let the children open their presents first.
In most families the adults soon after or in the late evening open their gifts. The Christians claim we give each other presents on Christmas day to mimic the wise men who gave presents on Jesus birth.
After the opening of the presents, Christmas day is when the whole family sits down and have the Christmas dinner. Sharing stories and catching up, we usually call each in turn pull the Christmas cracker and wish each other a Merry Christmas.
As in all families we all sit and watch Christmas TV Such as the queen speech and the annual channel premier film. In most family now we have the afternoon tea, or supper. We invite family and close friends. And discuss what presents we had for Christmas.
