Christmas Carols

Christmas Carols Are of a Christian tradition. They are special songs that were  and still is performed in churches telling the story of Jesus and the time he was born. Christmas carols were written for a special performance of religion dramas. In the medieval times Christmas carols were accompanied by a dance performance.

Carols are among the many old traditions we do, not only in the UK but in the world. The ancient Greek calls it choros which means dancing in a circle. Carol meaning has changed over the hundreds of years,  It is now only known for Christmas songs.

Christmas Carols have a wide custom. We mainly use today, as far back as the Middle Ages people who seek food, money, water would sing, in the streets, going  door to door or public places. We mainly do this now for charity but although we don’t sing on the streets we do go in groups knocking on door to door. Or we have special organized events for city tows to put on performances.

Mostly every one around the world have hard the Traditional Christmas Carol silent night, and Jingle bells. But today we don’t use carols for Christmas as modern society we use modern sounds and singing.
